Sierra Blue was born at the intersection of two worlds. Our name honours the rugged resilience of California's Sierra Nevada and the enduring beauty of Georgia's Blue Ridge — landscapes that demand toughness and adaptability.
Inspired by this, we left Silicon Valley to return to India with a singular mission: to build technology that works where the real world happens — outside the data center.
We saw that Agriculture, Infrastructure and Surveillance were operating in the dark — relying on manual inspection or dumb motion sensors. We changed the paradigm by engineering One Hardware Core with Infinite Personas.

Sourav is the bridge between the lab and commercial scale. With 9 years of industry experience — including 6 years driving growth at a Silicon Valley startup — he knows how to turn frontier technology into revenue, having played a key role in scaling a platform from $0 to $30M+.
Holding 14 US patents across AI and edge systems, and combining the engineering rigour of UPenn and Stanford with Wharton entrepreneurship training, Sourav returned to India to architect the neural edge at SierraBlue.

Dr. Ankita Roy
Co-Founder · Technology & Research
Ankita grounds AI in physical reality. While others build for chatbots, Ankita builds for the physical world. A gold medallist from IISER Bhopal with a PhD from the University of Georgia specialising in Computer Vision and Plant Phenotyping — she is the scientific anchor of SierraBlue.
Published in Science Advances (AAAS) and an ASPB Plantae Fellow, she translates rigorous research into rugged operational frameworks — whether scanning a paddy field or securing an institution campus. She has also completed advanced coursework in Genetics & Genomics at Stanford.
